LABUBUs. What are they? They are little monster characters from the store Popmart. I won’t lie, I thought they were super ugly at first, but with the power of TikTok and Instagram, I have been convinced otherwise. So now we begin the hunt for LABUBUs. I knew they were super popular because of Blackpink’s Lisa, but oh my god they were sold out everywhere! Why are they so hard to get your hands on? I went with my friends to the Popmart store in the American Dream mall and lo and behold, of course they were sold out. Sadge. And so, the hunt continues. I had a hangout with my friend in Flushing and I was telling him about the Labubus because it was so popular. We both agreed they were ugly but they were so cute in their own way. So what do we do? We go on the hunt for Labubus together … It was a rollercoaster. I knew that TESO-X had LABUBUs so when I got off the train, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to go check it out before meeting my friend, but as I was walking to the store I saw that there was no one in there besides the workers. Seeing this, my social anxiety just said no and I left. I went to meet up with my friend in Tangram and he said that Popmart ran out of LABUBUs. We were too late. But that’s okay, because our gambling minds said we can test our luck at Gatcha. That was a mistake. Never again. Do not fall into your gambling tendencies. I know it’s a skill issue that I am not good at claw machines but I was desperate LMAO. That’s not all though, the hunt doesn’t end there. We had the brilliant idea to go check out TESO-X :D. We make our way there and my friend asks the worker, “Excuse me, do you guys have Labubus?” The worker said yes, they have them in the front. So we could have gone to TESO-X this whole time instead of running around to Popmart and Gatcha. But anyways, OMG the hunt is over! We have never felt so happy😭. We got our Labubus and umm when I got home, my temporary happiness just faded away. What’s the moral of the story? Do not fall into your gambling tendencies. It’s not worth it. And I’d gladly do it again because I went back to get another one🤭. Lesson not learned.
