Blog: 3/4: 🚽Toilet Weather🚽

As a person, I feel like I can be both really talkative and really not. The ability to yap, my yappability if you will, comes and goes. It’s like a library loan that I have no control over. Sometimes I could talk about virtually anything and everything, and other days, the words just … don’t come out? In those scenarios, it’s almost as if I’ve forgotten how to speak completely. I feel like these “library loans” have only gotten worse in recent months (love sleep deprivation, it does wonders to your cognitive functions).

But on days that I do remember how to speak, I could probably talk your ears off about something completely absurd and weird that comes to mind. Case in point, have you ever thought about how similar weather conditions and natural disasters are to things you could do in a toilet bowl? Think about it. The easiest comparison would be rain; rain is like pee. If you believe in some sort of higher deity or power, rain could very well represent them peeing. Now you may be wondering (though you most likely aren’t) what would poop be then in that case? I would like to argue that hail would be the equivalent of poop since hail comes in different shapes and sizes. Sleet and snow can then represent the various types of poop one may have. Tornados and hurricanes could then be the equivalent of toilet flushing. I could keep going but for the sake of your sanity, I’ll stop myself there. But you see it right? There’s a lot of similarities that weather conditions share with the toilet if you ever thought about it hard enough.

These types of thoughts run through my mind every once in a while and every time I get them, I experience a really strong urge to share these somewhat odd thoughts. When this happens, my ability to yap is unmatched. I’m turbocharged to the max and my brain just keeps cooking. But on days I actually need to talk, like during a networking event or for a presentation, suddenly, english is not a language. No puedo hablar. 我不能讲话. Every language I’ve ever learned goes flying out the window. But even then, sometimes I can speak during those events. It’s an odd phenomenon and honestly, I would love to know why it happens. But that’s a problem for future Stephanie, not present Stephanie. Yapper out.
