Lowkey, college moving too quick. I’m sure most of y’all agree, but seriously I can’t keep up. Mentally, I feel like I haven’t grown up as much as I should have. I wake up most days wishing I was a kid again, which is wild because these years are the so-called “prime” of your life, the roaring 20s, dad lore, etc. It’s tough trying to balance being happy while doing all the work you gotta do. I resort to sleeping a lot to forget about these crises that are going on in my 20s. Anyways, here’s another poem.
The rays of the sun
do not bother me.
Confined to my bed
The outside world
Is more than an arm’s reach ahead
The rays of sun now intruding
Into my room
My closed eyes keep me busy
Keep me away
From the necessity of
Today
