“Free food is healthy food.”
Food is a very interesting concept. Some people may like food, while others may hate it. In this sense, food is like an art. It is solely based on each person’s perspective. To some, it may be a masterpiece. To others, it may just be worthless. However, unlike art pieces, food is also a necessity in order to survive. Humans must continue to cook and eat, as it is a normal part of our lives.
However, even food may result in burnouts. When one complies to the norms of society too much, eventually all creativity will be lost. But when you actually start thinking about it, a lot of questions pop up. Who decided what is considered to be societally accepted food? How did the food originate? Well, I believe that the answer is simple. There were people who were pioneers and leaders who broke out of their comfort zones to try new things to create new food. Sure, you can follow other recipes, tweak parts of it to your liking. But can you really call it your own?
My answer to that is NO. The world is so big, there must be more recipes and food that haven’t been discovered. That is why I decided to be a pioneer (definitely not ‘cause I was bored). I decided to try something new. I decided to make apple fried rice. It might sound weird at first, but if you really think about it pineapple fried rice is a thing and so is apple risotto. Both of those foods are pretty good. So who’s to say that apple fried rice wouldn’t work? You really wouldn’t know unless you tried.
It didn’t really turn out that bad. But society had other reactions. They looked at me like I was a monster. It was disturbing to them that I was even able to think of such a thing. It didn’t matter to me though. That moment was an important step of growth in my path as a pioneer and chef.
Pioneers don’t always follow societal norms. That’s why they are called pioneers. Their works aren’t always appreciated during the time that they are alive, but sometimes they will have huge impacts afterward. And who knows? Maybe in 100 years or so, apple fried rice will be a new national dish. But until then, I will keep looking for other recipes.
Anyways, being a pioneer is very energy taxing work. So it would be great if someone could donate some food for free ykyk. It would be like an investment for when my recipes make it big. I promise I’ll pay you back for the food eventually. :3
