Blog 3/10: 😻A Fun Drink a Day Keeps the Stress Away πŸ˜»

I am a true believer that all the fun drinks I consume keeps me (somewhat) sane. I go through a rotation of morning coffee, afternoon matcha and night tea a little too often … I swear I don’t actually drink three different beverages a day but having at least one is absolutely necessary for me to function.

If my morning coffee is bad, my day is bad. I don’t make the rules πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. But that usually applies for when I buy coffee, because personally, I think I make some delicious lattes. My specialties are brown sugar vanilla lattes and strawberry matcha lattes. Now let me tell you all my best kept secrets on how to make these drinks but the low budget versions and from a dorm room:

Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte β˜•οΈ

  1. Take two tablespoons of instant coffee and add it to a small cup. Then take about half a spoonful of brown sugar and add it to the coffee.Β
  2. Pour a small amount of hot water into the mixture (just enough to cover the coffee and sugar). Make sure to stir well until the coffee and sugar dissolves. If you’re feeling fancy, use an electric whisk and make it all nice and foamy. Now you have an espresso shot without needing an expensive espresso machine πŸ˜†.
  3. Then prepare your drink cup by adding a good amount of ice and whatever milk you prefer. I usually add enough milk to fill more than half the cup. Then pump at least two to three pumps of vanilla syrup into the milk.Β
  4. Pour the coffee mixture into the milk and you’re done!

Strawberry Matcha Latte πŸ΅πŸ“

  1. Take two tablespoons of matcha powder and add it to a small cup.Β
  2. Add enough hot water to cover the matcha powder and make sure to stir well until the powder is dissolved. Then use an electric whisk to make it creamy (for matcha I think an electric whisk is necessary if you do not have a matcha whisk or bowl).
  3. Next, take some strawberry puree (or smashed strawberries with sugar) and pour that into the bottom of your drink cup.Β
  4. Then, add ice into the cup and add enough milk to fill about more than half the cupΒ  (BEST MILK IS CHOBANI EXTRA CREAMY OAT MILK).Β
  5. Then pour your matcha mixture over the milk and boom, another delicious latte done 😝.

My love language is making drinks for my friends because I like to cosplay being a barista with no pressure 😼. Now that I told you all my super duper secret recipes, try to make it yourself! Maybe one day I’ll attempt to make everyone a fun lil drink to help them get through their days, but first, I’ll just try to get through my days (sorry gotta put me first).
